Volunteer at Homegirl Mini-Farm’s Herb Day, 11/10

Echo Park Time Bank organizational member Homegirl Mini-Farm is having Herb Day on Thursday, 11/10 at 2 p.m. They are looking for volunteers (and time bankers) to help them de-stem herbs for selling. (They will be sold at their next “Farm to Table” Marketplace Event on Saturday, November 19 from 1-4!) Says Coordinator Sarah Leone, “We have lots of herbs that we have dried over the last few months.” De-stemming “is a big job, but with the help of our volunteers we can get it done in no time!” The money they raise from selling them as herbs or teas will go “for more mini-farm projects like our sustainable center which is coming soon!” Please RSVP by sending Sarah an email before the big day! sarahl@homeboy-industries.org
