Report from the TBUSA Conference in Madison WI

The Time Banks USA Conference in Madison Wisconsin was informative and inspiring. Lisa and Autumn spent the weekend meeting time bankers from all over the world. The Dane County Time Bank of Madison did an amazing job hosting the conference. Founded by Stephanie Rearick four years ago, The Dane County Time Bank has a youth court, a Time Dollar store and 1300 members!

We met Sheryl Walton of the Sobrante Park Time Bank in Oakland CA. They formed their Time Bank as a method to help reduce violence in their neighborhood. Sheryl is on the board of Time Banks USA and a very knowledgeable and inspiring woman in our own great state!

We also met the very creative Linda Hogan and Lesley Jones of Hour Exchange Portland in Portland, Maine. They created a home weatherization co-op, a time gallery and a time garden.

We are working on writing a complete report to share with you all. Time Banking can be a solution to so many social problems. We have just scratched the surface!
