The Time Bank Neighborhood Resiliency Project is a series of workshops discussions, and other collective efforts designed to grow a more self-reliant community. We are re-introducing our neighbors to the skills and practices that make the places we live safer, healthier, and more sustainable. Classes will focus on subjects that empower participants to strengthen their interdependent network.
Upcoming classes will explore subjects such as, rain catchment, healing plant medicine, conflict resolution, beekeeping, basket weaving, converting diesel engines to run on vegetable oil, foraging urban greens and fruit, emergency preparedness, natural alternative cleaning supplies, bike repair and upcycling. Community members are invited to suggest classes and/or teach.
This project is a collaboration between The Echo Park Time Bank, The Arroyo Time Bank, The Armory Center for the Arts and NELA Transition.
