Echo Park and the History of L.A. Expansion
A discussion on Saturday, November 13th, 2010 10:00AM at Echo Park Lake. Meet at the brown concrete picnic tables along Park Ave. Call 323-661-2793 for more info.

What are your favorite things about Echo Park? The interesting mix of people? The central location (and access to public transportation)? The funky hillsides (steps, houses and green space)? The small businesses? The historic architecture? The street scene (vendors and pedestrian oriented scale)? The arts community?

The American planning Association chose Echo Park as one of the Nation's, "Top Ten Great Neighborhoods." What is the future of our "great neighborhood" and how does it fit into Los Angeles' overall pattern of expansion?
